I imagine everyone is aware (and in case you weren’t, you are now) that this weekend was the “Super Moon”. What is a super moon exactly? Well according to wikipedia (a very trustworthy source as you know):
“A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth. The technical name is the perigee-syzygy of the Earth-Moon-Sun system.”
On top of that it’s also a fun thing to take pictures of. Something I spent a long few hours doing over the last few days. I ended up with a few cool shots, nothing like the fake over-exaggerated ones you’ll see on a Google search, but cool nonetheless. Here’s one of them:
Tonight for reasons unknown to me, there is another fireworks display happening not to far from my apartment. This means I’ll likely be taking more pictures of those and post them in the next few days, assuming I get any good ones. Not much for today, so hopefully tomorrow will be more fruitful. Thanks for reading!
